5872 was created in 2016 as a way to provide public high school students with an advanced robotics opportunity that is only available to two public schools in Broward County. Throughout the past few years, our team has grown and accomplished much.
Since 2016, 5872 has received multiple awards and been to the World Championships twice! Here are some of our acomplishments:

2026 - REBUILT
During FRC Rebuilt, we competed at one regional. We wanted to do another but canceled due to politcal events.
SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL - WEEK 6
We ranked 37th with a record of 7-8-0.
We competed in the playoffs as the 2nd pick of Alliance 3 and were eliminated in the Double Elimination Bracket (Round 5)
We unfortunately didn't bring home any awards either.

2025 - REEFSCAPE
During FRC Reefscape, we competed at two regionals.
TALLAHASSE REGIONAL - WEEK 3
We ranked 28th with a record of 5-7-0.
We competed in the playoffs as the 2nd pick of Alliance 4 and were eliminated in the Double Elimination Bracket (Round 4)
We unfortunately didn't bring home any awards.

We ranked 44th with a record of 1-9-0.
